Mango Junta...

Petrol costs 82 in Bangalore. I pay close to  18.5 percent in the form of Karnataka Sales Tax, then there is Excise duty, Education Tax, Dealer commission,VAT,Crude Oil Custom duty, Petrol Custom,Transportation Charge etc.

Considering the base price of fuel per barrel is $107 according to today's report.
One Barrel contains 160 liters of crude oil.
Cost of this fuel according to
 today's rate 56/- would be =     107*56=5992  === 6000/- per barrel
price of one liter would be =                                          37.50/-
 Excise duty:                                                                  18.30/-
  Education Tax: Rs                                                          0.55/-
  Dealer commission: Rs                                                   1.34/-
  VAT: Rs                                                                         7.04/-
Crude Oil Custom duty: Rs                                             1.40/-
  Petrol Custom: Rs                                                           2.00/-
  Transportation Charge: Rs                                              7.70./-
  Karnataka state tax                                                         6.17/-

That is close to or more than 50% of my money is going to the coffers of the govt. UPA in its election manifesto said that we are there for AAM aadmi. I wonder who is this AAM aadmi and whether the UPA govt meant to say that we are back to torment you to the stone age. I also wonder whom the govt considers as AAM aadmi, is it the tree people who make their houses on mango trees or is it the super rich who rule over the masses.

I have seen a majority of scams in this govt, I am fed up with both state as well as central govt. CWG scam where in they looted money more than China's expenditure without building any new stadiums. Coalgate where in coal fields were given to PSU's under huge loss to govt. Mining Scam where in huge amount of iron ore was given out for pittance for filling up pockets of few. 2G scam where in bandwidth was sold at a pittance. When the people who are ridden with scams are enjoying the fruit it makes me wonder why have I not been thinking in terms of doing scams and earning loads of money and be a part of that elite Mango people who do scams and still live a king's life.

MBI - The Unofficial bureau...

MBI - AKA Marriage Bureau of India is a non government organization in India which promotes marriage to unmarried folks either male or female. The people involved might be close relatives, who suddenly take personal interest in the matrimonial prospects of a guy or a gal. It either seems that they cant see a single guy/gal or they want others to go through the same kind of domestic issues which they would have gone through. Sometimes it is the nosy bosses or the colleagues or friends who pitch in with a prospective bride/groom to be hitched.

A visit to a married friend's house party also invokes the M word. When are you getting married, why are you  not yet married, when are you going to give us the marriage lunch... the questions are hounded.  They would like to know the innate details of the person like age, salary, take home, existing loans blah blah blah and then try to match it across with the person whom they are close with. A wrong word/sentence here can take you from being single to married in no time. BTW invitations to married people's party dry up if the status of the person is still single. A single person is looked upon as a social stigma, possibly the society in general would require the certificate of a human as married with kids. :D.

When there is trouble in a relationship people just leave it for the person to deal it on his/her own.  Advices dry up and the person is chastised from the group.

I have found out a novel way... stop attending parties :D, works most of the time. If you are bombarded through phone you can always escape saying you are currently busy. If you are hounded by people just agree mostly to what they say and quietly slip from the place.

Hakka....

Hakka are basically people from China who live presently in the south east Chinese region. It is their style of cooking which derives the Hakka noodles. Not getting a proper dinner makes a man a frustrated man and I was one yesterday. Which is when I took the matters into my hand and prepared authentic bangalorized hakka noodles sans veggies. ( hunger + laziness is a deadly mixture). The noodles came out amazing and I almost did polish off the plate :D, simple and easy to do at house and can fill the stomach. I will search for some chopsticks to make the eating process more Chinese!!!

Phew Dentist Horror.....

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/dentist-pulls-her-ex-boyfriend-teeth-split-210829769.html

Just read this amazing news bit. It makes me kind of paranoid to be in such a position. Sincere advice folks never ever go to doctors or dentists who are close to you, closely related to you or friends who are closely related to that person!!!, you might be toothless as with the above link or something else if her specialization is in a different branch!!!!.It would have been more horror had the Dentist EX been a proctologist.

He definitely would get a fortune from a tooth fairy!!! LOL ROFL

The moral of the story: NEVER date your urologist also!!!

Idealism vs Reality

This is the current question which is hell bent on confusing me to the maximum. Consider this analogy I have always been said to get 100/100 for mathematics but the reality has always been in the 90's or lesser. People talk idealistically for example my former CM Krishna who wanted to make Bangalore the next Singapore or Current CM of Bengal who wants to make Kolkota the next London. I think they do talk in ideal terms in which case it is the harsh reality which we face day in and out. Take the classic case of Government of India reducing the poverty index, from making the definition of poor from 60 bucks per day to 27 bucks per day. They have said to have reduced poverty by a large scale by a technical terms, Should I consider this to be ideal or realistic. Realistically speaking I cant live with just 27 bucks a day I bet the planning commission and/or the people who did the ruling that 27 is the number can't do it either in ideal conditions. A liter of packed water bottle costs 15 bucks with the shop vendor charging extra 2 bucks to keep it chilled claiming power costs.

Assuming an Ideal person who earns 28 rupees a day, would require a 2 square meal ideally. Considering the inflation we are being through I would say with 28 rupees he can get one kg of Atta. He will have to use the natural resources like wood for cooking, again we are assuming that he protagonist has a house to say of his own. ( A house can be as big as a 50 square foot). He needs to have vessels to do his cooking and also to store water which he might scrounge from a govt provided water in nearby houses. He will not get the water as he is deemed non existent by the local bodies. He will come to existence only when there is an election around the corner where in he will be treated freely with the local made arrack and few other vices. Coming back to the atta, if he has a family of four (Concept of Indian family Hum Do Hamara Do) a kg of atta might just get them close to 20 chapatis, 5 each per person per day. Now no person in the family can get sick, if they get sick then they need to scout for the government hospitals which again require a proof of identity that he exists and has the right to fall sick. His travel from point A to point B has to be by blessings of a cycle which is lend to him or he has to do a fair bit of walking.

Idealism and reality can be applied everywhere. A certain congress leader who used to tell that bjp members have desecrated the temple of democracy by watching certain objectionable stuff. The same congress leader did the objectionable stuff in the premises and says that it is private business!!! He was trying to get a woman to being a judge by the most popular form of barter known to mankind. (btw it used to happen from time immemorial). His idealistic way of talking was not valid to him (A valid sentence would be he talks and walks differently).

Idealism and reality can be applied to various other fields including marriage, science etc. Idealism can be acceptable in the world of science but when it comes to science of humans it takes a beating. A relationship can never be ideal and that would be a reality. An idealistic relationship is always in movies which does not factor in other conditions like friction which affects the laws of Newton!!!.

Finding an answer to the question Idealism vs Reality would be a real hair raising experience, It would not strike me even if an apple drops on my head in an apple orchard. It will be a major cause of irritation through out my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
